Nicaragua-San Carlos

2013 Pandaria Panzin

The project is operated together with our project partner “Fundacion San Lucas” and its leader Hilde Düvel. A young team of 8 employees is being trained in the training bakery. The project started in March 2013. Since March 2015, the active support by the BgN experts has ended and the project continues to run independently.

The following goals are pursued:

1. The young trainees are given a solid knowledge base through sound training, which enables them and their families to earn a secure income.

2. Proceeds benefit the Arete women’s shelter project in San Carlos. Women who have been victims of domestic violence can find shelter and medical and psychological support here. They also have the opportunity to work as saleswomen for the training bakery in their communities. As a result, they generate their own income and are independent.

3. The basic supply of the population is improved with high-quality baked goods.
